Good to know
- This helps a search engine pick the right headline, date and picture for a post instead of guessing.
- Use the date the post was first published, and change the modified date only when the content really changes.
- Paste the result anywhere in the page’s HTML, usually just before </head> or </body>. In a website builder, look for "custom code" or "header code" in that page’s settings.
- After publishing, run the page through Google’s free Rich Results Test to confirm Google can read it.
