Title Tag Length Checker
Paste a page title. You see its length in characters and in pixels, which is what Google actually measures, plus a few plain checks.
Fill in the fields above and the result shows here as you type.
Good to know
- Google cuts titles by width, not by count. A title full of wide letters (W, M) runs out sooner than one full of narrow ones (i, l). That is why the pixel figure matters more than the character count.
- Put the words a customer types near the front. If a title is cut, it is the end that goes.
- Google sometimes rewrites titles on its own. A clear title that matches the page heading is rewritten less often.
