Good to know
- Hreflang tells Google "this page also exists in French, here". It is how a French speaker in New Brunswick lands on the French page instead of the English one.
- The same full set of tags goes on every version, including a line pointing to itself. Missing return links are the most common reason these tags get ignored.
- Codes are language first, then country: en-CA, fr-CA. "x-default" is the fallback for everyone else.
