Custom workflow tools

The narrow tool nobody sells, built for a business your size.

The software built to solve your actual problem is usually priced for a company ten times your size, so you do it by hand in a spreadsheet nobody trusts. Building the narrow version is often cheaper than a year of the enterprise subscription you were quoted.

What you get

What is actually in it.

  • Scoped by diagnosis, not by questionnaire
  • A fixed price in writing before anything is built
  • Half the build fee up front, the rest on launch
  • Runs on rented infrastructure, so there is no server to maintain
  • Your data stored in Canada
  • Scope does not grow quietly. You are not sold features you did not ask for

How it runs

01ConversationHow the work moves through your week
02Named problemThe expensive manual step, in plain words
03Fixed scope and priceIn writing
04Built and launchedThen supported on the monthly

Every timing here is a setting inside the tool, not a result claimed on your behalf. Check them yourself the week you launch.

Frequently asked

Straight answers.

How do I know what to ask you to build?

You do not have to. Asking a busy owner to specify their own software is how projects fail. Tell me the worst hour of your week and I will name the expensive step and scope to it.

What if an off-the-shelf product already does this?

Then I tell you which one and you buy it. Building something that already exists for forty dollars a month would be a bad use of your money, and it would end the referral chain this business runs on.

Who owns what gets built?

You own the code and the content. The monthly covers running it, hosting, changes and support. It is not permission to use it.

What happens if you are unavailable?

A fair question for a one-person business. Everything runs on standard rented infrastructure with no dependency on any machine of mine, the code sits in a repository you can be given access to, and nothing needs a special build step to keep working.
