Getting it out of your head

It works until you are sick, or want a week off.

What you quoted the Hendersons. Which van is due for inspection. Who is on a standing order. Held in one head, it works right up until that head is on holiday or in bed with the flu, and then it is everyone else in the business who pays for it.

What you get

What is actually in it.

  • One searchable record per customer, with every job attached
  • A dated service history you can export as a PDF
  • Renewals and recurring work that surface before they are late
  • Notes that somebody other than you can read
  • The record that settles a "you never came" phone call
  • Access you can give a second person without handing over everything

How it runs

01Customer created onceFrom a quote, a booking, or by hand
02Work attaches to themQuotes, jobs, invoices, notes
03History builds itselfDated, exportable, searchable
04Anyone can pick it upIncluding whoever covers for you

Every timing here is a setting inside the tool, not a result claimed on your behalf. Check them yourself the week you launch.

Frequently asked

Straight answers.

How is this different from a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet is fine until two people need it at once, until it needs searching on a phone, and until something needs to happen on a date. If none of those apply, keep the spreadsheet.

Do I have to enter all my history first?

No. Almost everyone is better off starting from a date and letting the record build. Bulk import is possible if the old data is clean, and it usually is not.

Can my staff see everything?

Not if you do not want that. Roles are normal: a driver seeing only their runs, an office person seeing invoicing but not settings. Waypoint Ops is built exactly this way.

Where does the data actually live?

In a database hosted in Canada, in the Canada Central region. That is a setting I can show you, not a marketing line.
